About

Marine Focus is an alias for my arduous name Peter Reissenweber. I am the founder and primary photographer of this site.

Born in Sydney, Australia in 1968. I began diving at the age of 28 in the coastal waters of New South Whales. I moved to Brisbane, Queensland in 2003 where my passion for diving increased due to the spectacular local diving conditions.

Eventually I took up underwater photography in 2006 so that I could share my experiences with friends and family and it evolved into a healthy obsession.

The obsession led to travel to more exotic locations on the Great Barrier Reef and overseas destinations such as Sipidan Island in Borneo, Santo Vanuatu, Kavieng Papua New Guinea and Vavau in Tonga.

I plan on expanding my portfolio in the future with more travel to source different marine subjects. I am keen to dive with seals and dolphins in my next adventure.
